Sub – Rajya Puraskar Testing Camp-2013

 

Madam / Sir,

                Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan State Bharat Scouts & Guides conducts State level Rajya Puraskar Test in the month of July every year. It is conducted simultaneously at five different venues of five Zones. Five teams of examiners both in Scouts & Guides sections respectively are deputed to conduct Rajya Puraskar Test. For the session 2013-14, the Rajya Puraskar Test is proposed from 9^th July to 13^th July 2013. The reporting date for officials will be 7^th July 2013 and for Scouts and Guides it will be 8^th July 2013. Proposed five venues and names of officials are as given below-

The Deputy Commissioner of the host region may select suitable Kendriya Vidyalayas to conduct the Rajya Puraskar Test and make all physical arrangements in respect of boarding, lodging and conducting of test.

            There has been constant demand for increasing the quota of S/G for participation in the Rajya Puraskar Test. Therefore, the quota for the S & G for the Rajya Puraskar Test-2013 has been increased. Important Notes:-

1. All divisions should conduct a Pre- Rajya Puraskar Test for 03 days and select the regional contingent as per the quota allotted to them for participation in the Zonal level Rajya Puraskar Test. Anyhow, in Pre-Rajya Puraskar test, a division should call S/G not more than three times of their Rajya Puraskar quota.
2. The Application Form, Information sheet, COH & DOB proforma are enclosed herewith. All S/G should fill up these proforma and submit at the time of registration for Zonal Level Rajya Puraskar Test.
3. All divisions should ensure that a screening test at vidyalaya level is conducted before sending S/G for Pre-Rajya Puraskar Test to minimize the chances of any under prepared S/G taking part in the test. All eligible S/G should be given a fair chance to prove themselves. The selection process should be fair and transparent.
4. All records related to Vidyalaya level test, Pre- Rajya Puraskar Test and Rajya Puraskar Test should be preserved for three year in respective venues.
5. The participating S/G should have proper and valid registration in his/her Group and their Group should have valid charter (Group Registration) number.
6. The SM/GC recommending his/her Scouts & Guides should be at least Advanced Trained and have valid Warrant number.
7. All divisions should send their contingent duly escorted by trained SM/GC only. Each contingent will be headed by one Contingent Leader for Scout section and one for Guide section. The Contingent Leaders should be preferably Senior Scouter/Guider.
8. DA, as per KVS rules, for participating S/G shall be paid from the VVN of respective KV and to the escort teachers / Contingent Leaders from the School Fund of the respective KV and it should be deposited to the Principal of the venue vidyalaya.
9. A Registration Fee @ Rs. 100/- per S/G shall be collected. It shall also be paid from the VVN of the respective vidyalayas and deposited to the Principal of the venue vidyalaya of Zonal Level Rajya Puraskar Test. This amount should be spent on making certificates, stationery and other miscellaneous expenditure. If the amount so collected is not sufficient, funds from Divisional Association of KVS BS&G A/c of concerned region (venue region) may be released and utilized.
10. Rajya Puraskar Certificates and Test Card should be printed by the venue region. A sample copy of certificate & Test Card will be provided to venue regions. After preparation of the result, certificates should be prepared for all qualified S/G only and it should be sent to KVS HQ, New Delhi for signatures. It should be ensured that certificates are prepared within two days of completion of the Rajya Puraskar Test at Zonal level.
11. One day Meeting of all Observers will be organized on 05.07.2013 at KVS Hq, New Delhi to discuss modalities and equal standard of the Rajya Puraskar Test.
12. It is also decided to conduct Rajya Puraskar Test from 2014 onwards in the month of April. Therefore, please ensure that Tritiya Sopan Test in your region is conducted accordingly to enable S/G to be eligible for the Rajya Puraskar Test-2014.
